FRAGRANCE: Clean and woody with airy notes, a mix of sagebrush, fresh air, and a touch of amber wood.

LAFCO candles are hand poured in the USA and optimized to yield a 90-hour burn. Formulated with a specialty high soy content wax which burns cleaner than paraffin. Made with natural essential oil-based fragrances that burns richly and evenly, filling the entire space with fragrance. Each candle is made in a hand-blown art glass vessel whose sophisticated lines and vibrant colors will compliment any space, long after the wax has burned.

Burning Tips

First Burn: Allow the candle to burn until the wax melts all the way to the edge of the glass. This could take up to 4 hours and is dependent on the fragrance. This ensures that the candle will burn evenly thereafter.

After the First Burn: Trim the wick to 1/8” before you relight each time. Do not let the trimmings fall into the wax (this will cause the candle to burn at too hot a temperature and give you less burn time). Instead turn the candle upside down when clipping off the excess wick.

Ideal Burning: LAFCO candles perform best when burned for 4 hours at a time. Burning longer than 4 hours may cause excess smoke and allow the wick to get too long and lessen the longevity of the candle. Some smoke may appear upon extinguishing the candle and a bright ember may appear; this is because the wick is cotton and non chemically treated.

Last Burn: Our candle is designed so the wick will self extinguish, leaving ¼” to ½” of wax left in the bottom of the glass. This is a safety measure to prevent the bottom of the glass from becoming too hot. If the candle wick does not self extinguish, stop burning if less than ½” of wax remains - do not let the candle burn all the way to the bottom.

Safety Tips:

Don't leave the candle unattended or with pets or children. Don't place the candle near fabric or anything combustible. Burn candles on a heat and flame resistant surface.

Useful Tips:

Clean burning soy-based wax and with a 100% cotton/ non-chemically treated wick.
Each oversized hand-blown art glass vessel (approx. 4"x4") will have slight differences of size and color from piece to piece. This is to be expected and assures you that this is a hand made product.
To repurpose your hand blown glass when the candle is finished place the cup in the refrigerator /freezer to allow the remaining wax to shrink allowing for easy removal, and then pull out the metal wick holder. Wash with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher.
